Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

Peter frowns a little, narrowing his eyes. That's a unique trait in the case indeed. But at least Stiles told it without concretely asking about it. Which is good, they are making progress.

"It was an accident then?" he asks. He wants to ask for more details, but he doesn't want to overwhelm Stiles.

"Yeah." Stiles snorts bitterly. "A complete accident." Even Stiles isn't sure whether or not he'd share them. It helps that he knows his dad isn't going to hear any of this.

Peter nods, looking at Stiles for a moment.

"Did he tell you that?" he asks at last. "He might have been lying."

[totallynotrobin]

"…I don't think he was." Stiles hadn't even really thought of that. But by now he's so far gone he doesn't find it hard to believe it wasn't meant for him.

Of course, Peter thinks, anything that little shit said must have affected Stiles ten times worse. Maybe that was the worst thing he could have said to someone with a low self esteem.

"Did you know him?" Peter asks quietly.

[totallynotrobin]

"No." Stiles shakes his head. "I didn't."

[burnedwolf]

"Is he still out there?" Peter asks, because that might be an important information in regard of Stiles' recovery.

[totallynotrobin]

Stiles averts his eyes. "…yeah. They didn't catch him."

[burnedwolf]

Peter nods and makes a note. It might be harder to reach full recovery if the guy is still free, but they have to try.

"Did he tell you who he intended to take?"

[totallynotrobin]

"My friend Danny." And to be fair, Danny was hot. Way hotter than Stiles. Not that Stiles would have wished this upon Danny - hell, he wouldn't have wished this upon Jackson.

"Did you tell Danny this? Does he know?" Peter asks, scribbling down the name to remember.

[totallynotrobin]

"No." Stiles says quickly. "No. No way."

[burnedwolf]

Of course Peter expected the answer, but he still raises an eyebrow.

"And why?"

[totallynotrobin]

"Nobody knows what happened. And even if he did, what gives me the right to make him feel like shit?"

[burnedwolf]

"You could just tell him someone wanted to hurt him. Maybe he can help catching him." Peter mutters. "But I'm not judging you, I just want to know the details. I'm not here to scold you."

[totallynotrobin]

"I'm the only one who saw him." Stiles calms a little. "It's not Danny's fault." That's more to himself than to Peter.

[burnedwolf]

"Of course it's not. It's no one's fault, Stiles. Only that person's." Peter says. "Were you alone, or you were out with friends?"

[totallynotrobin]

"I was out. At...at a club." Stiles admits. "So it's kind of my fault, actually."

[burnedwolf]

"Did you feel guilty for going there before the incident happened? Or only after it?" Peter asks, taking a few notes again.

[totallynotrobin]

"Only after," Stiles murmurs quietly. "I didn't think..."

[burnedwolf]

"No one does." Peter assures Stiles gently. "And you're not to blame, Stiles. We're going to work on that too." he adds with a small smile.

Peter has a vague idea what were the circumstances and a part of how it affected Stiles. He's looking down at his notes, wondering how he should proceed into it further.

"So no one knows what happened? How much your father knows then?"

"He knows. Sort of. He knows…most of it. But nobody else does." Stiles' smile is weak and flickering. "Nobody else does."

Peter's eyes are sharp on the boy as he answers. It never gets easier, seeing that smile on the victims' faces. The doctor sighs.

"How much does your father know exactly?"

[totallynotrobin]

"He knows I went out and got hurt." Stiles murmurs. "And he knows I need to come to a - a sex therapist, as opposed to a regular one."

[burnedwolf]

"He must be worried for you, especially that he doesn't know the details." Peter starts. "You should tell him what happened." he advises. It could be the next step too in Stiles' recovery even. But Peter knows it might be a huge one.
