Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

"In a few days. If I can last that long." Stiles jokes.

Peter is amused by the joke and he can't deny he kinda likes Stiles' lighter tone of voice.

"Certainly a struggle, isn't it?" he chuckles. For heaven's sake, did he just flirt? "Take care, Stiles."

Stiles hangs up the phone smiling. He sure lucked out. Maybe this doctor could help him.

After a few days Peter is actually already in his office, waiting for Stiles and reading his notes. He's sitting in his chair, with the table moved to the side, letting the chairs to be put closer together.

Stiles arrives on time, knocking lightly on the door.

Peter stands from the chair and walks to the door to open it.

"Welcome, Stiles. How was your trip here?" he asks and motions the boy inside.

"It wasn't too bad," Stiles says, stepping inside the office.

[burnedwolf]

"Tell me." Peter smiles a little, guiding Stiles to the chairs. He's deliberately standing close, just to get Stiles used to it too.

Stiles glances up at Peter, a little nervous, but doesn't try to move away. "Um - there was, ah, a little traffic."

[burnedwolf]

"So you drove here?" Peter asks with a smile as he sits down. "Is it your car?"

[totallynotrobin]

"Yes. I have a jeep." Stiles smiles softly. "My baby."

[burnedwolf]

"She sounds lovely." Peter smiles, tilting his head to the side. Stiles' expression is cute, he wonders, and it's a good thing there are still things in his life that makes him smile like that. "Did you get it from your father?"

"Yeah. I mean, he passed her down to me from my mom. Had her fixed up."

[burnedwolf]

"Oh, she must be a special one then." Peter smiles a bit more. He read in Stiles' file about his mother. So he knows how precious that jeep could be. "Can we start today's session, Stiles?"

"She was." Stiles says quietly. But she isn't why he's here, so he's grateful for the subject change. "Of course."

[burnedwolf]

"Good." Peter nods, taking his pen a notes. "How was your week? I already know you did your homework, which is great."

[totallynotrobin]

"It was alright. A bit of a struggle, but that's the norm with me."

[burnedwolf]

"We always struggle with something Stiles. Otherwise we would never get anything done." Peter nods a little. "You went to school, right?"

[totallynotrobin]

"A few days this week. Not for long, though."

[burnedwolf]

"At least you went." Peter said reassuringly. "Next week your homework will be to go every day. Can you do that for me?" he asks.

[totallynotrobin]

"Do I have to stay the whole day?" Stiles asks nervously.

[burnedwolf]

"I'd like it, yes." Peter nods, eying Stiles. "But it's not necessary. If you feel too overwhelmed you can leave, but I'd like you to go back to your old routine and don't skip school."

[totallynotrobin]

"Yeah, well," Stiles sighs. "I wish that too."

[burnedwolf]

Peter sighs a little, smiling and looking down.

"Would you like to tell me anything that came up this week? Any thought, or feeling, or just something you want to talk about."

[totallynotrobin]

"Well," Stiles tries to think. "You already know about the panic attack."
