Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

Peter nods and offers his hand.

"You want to?" he asks quietly.

Stiles bites his lip, clearly pretty nervous. But…he does slowly extend his hand for Peter.

Peter doesn't move, but lets Stiles to reach for him in his own pace, smiling at him encouraging.

"There you go." he smiles wriggling his fingers a bit.

Stiles smiles nervously and takes Peter's hand. Well that's…something.

Peter nods, brushing Stiles' hand a little with his thumb.

"What do you think?" he asks quietly, tilting his head to look into the boy's face.

"It's…it's okay." Stiles allows quietly, letting Peter hold his hand.

"Alright?" Peter asks, brushing his thumb over Stiles' skin. He shouldn't do that, it's not in the procedure, but he still did.

Stiles nods and squeezes his hand back. He doesn't mind. It's almost a little comforting.

"Good." Peter nods. "From now on I'd prefer if all our session were going on sitting this close. And I'll initiate touches and I will ask you the same too. Don't worry, we'll ease you into it." he explains, squeezing Stiles' hand back a little. "Also I will give you homework too." he smirks.

"Okay." Stiles says meekly. He does blink at the last statement, though. "Homework?" He doesn't do the homework he already has as it is.

"Homework. I want to touch someone else too. A small touch is enough, but you have to do it." Peter explains. "It could be your father, or Scott. Whoever you're comfortable with."

"...okay." Stiles says slowly. It doesn't sound like much when he's sitting here holding Peter's hand. It'll be much harder when he wasn't.

"Of course you can choose not to do it." Peter speaks softly. "But I would prefer if you'd do it, for your own recovery. Alright? Maybe I'll think of a reward if you can complete the tasks I give you even." he muses still with a half smile.

Stiles relaxes a little and smiles. "Okay, Dr. Hale." He squeezes his hand again, but not from stress.

Peter sighs a little, looking at their hands. He knows he should probably let go by now, but he doesn't. Stiles isn't supposed to know that anyway. So he just smiles reassuringly.

"Anything else you'd like to discuss before I close our first session?" he asks.

"Is there anything else you can tell me about the progression of the treatment?" Stiles asks, and no, he doesn't pull away either.

Peter nods licking his lips as he's thinking about it. He can feel Stiles clinging and it's not a good thing. He wants the boy to stand on his feet and not depend on others too much. That's the point of therapy. Yet, he keeps holding the boy's hand.

"Slowly we're getting you used to closeness of other people. To touches. Maybe I'll call in my nephew for a session, when I think you should try with complete strangers too. He's also in therapy, but don't worry we're not going to discuss you while he's here." he speaks. "And then, of course we'll touch on your bisexuality a bit. I want you to be confident in it, that you can talk about it to others." he mutters, humming. "And I'll need to see what triggers you might have, to threat them."

"Your nephew?" Stiles blinks a little, and he can't help but wonder why his nephew is in therapy and if it's for the same as him. But it would be rude to ask. "O-okay. Will I have to tell my dad?"

"Don't worry about him. He needs to get used to people's closeness too." Peter explains with a smile. Though he's not going to say more. "I think it'd do good for both of you if you could discuss the therapy, yes. But you're not obligated to tell him anything."

"Okay." Only when he's good and ready. That sounded like a solid plan. Stiles clings a little tighter to Peter's hand, inching closer. He's afraid to be touched, but also touch-deprived.

Peter tilts his head to the side, watching Stiles as he moves closer. Well, that's something. At least Stiles seems to trust in him.

"Please do the homework I told you. Alright?" he says softly, because if Stiles will get brave enough to touch others he might get all the touches he wants. Peter can't exactly fill in for that. Though he's not going to be the one pulling away, Stiles has to.

"I'll try." Stiles promises. That's all he can offer, though. Whether or not he succeeds is an entirely separate matter.
