Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

"Can you come to the hospital?" Stiles bursts out. He needs the support. "Sorry I - that's where I am."

Peter frowns, freezing a little.

"The... the hospital? Why are you- What happened?" he asks as he's already looking around for his keys.

"I'm okay. I'm fine, really - just a little banged up. I-I deserved it. He was just defending himself."

[burnedwolf]

The doctor frowned more, already getting his keys and shoes as he's listening to Stiles.

"Did you get hurt?" Peter asked back a little alarmed. Because alright, he got it, Stiles hurt someone, but he got hurt too and Peter's priority was Stiles at the moment. "Stiles do you want to keep talking, or shall we talk when I get there?"

"I can wait." Stiles says softly, hearing the alarm in Peter's voice. It was both comforting and scary. "Thank you, Peter."

"I'll be there soon." Peter sighed and hung up so he could get to the hospital in no time. Thankfully he was familiar there and they told him where they keep Stiles. So he could go to him quickly. It was ridiculous to rush like this just because one of his patients were calling him. But that showed him again how Stiles was special.

"Stiles? How are you?" Peter asked when he spotted him.

Stiles was holding a cold compress to his cheek, smilig wearily when Peter burst in. "I'm okay. Thank you for coming."

He's honestly a little surprised how fast Peter got there, legs swinging over the edge of his hospital bed.

"It's just natural, Stiles I'm your doctor in a way too." Peter explains quietly, walking closer. He quickly checks for any kind of injury on Stiles, seeing how they must be from a fight. He had a fight with someone.

Peter is not touching Stiles even if he reached out for him instinctly, but pulled his hand back. Stiles might not be in a condition to accept any kind of touch after all.

"Can you tell me what happened?"

"I was in the grocery store," Stiles explains, relaxing even more when he sees how concerned Peter is for him. "I was just shopping and this guy - he didn't do anything wrong, he just startled me. And then he asked for my number and I just felt like I was suffocating - "

Stiles shivers a little at the memory. "So I punched him. I just lost control and he tried to get away but I kept going." Stiles gestures vaguely at his own injuries.

Peter nods, listening with a sigh. It can happen, of course, that victims get startled like this.

"Oh, Stiles." Peter sighs again, eying the boy with a soft expression. "So he looks worse than you?" he tried to ask lightly.

"Yeah. Only because I was scared. I'm a chickenshit otherwise." Stiles jokes back gently

Peter smiles a little, relieved that Stiles seems to do okay. Though hurting others is still not alright.

"I'm still going to take it as progress." he starts quietly. "Because you were fighting, you didn't let it happen again. Well, maybe it was against a poor clueless soul, but... you're getting stronger." Peter spoke. "But we still need to talk about this in therapy, you know?" he asks, tilting his head to look into Stiles' face.

Stiles sighs tiredly and nods. "Yeah, I know. Thank you for coming."

[burnedwolf]

"No need to thank me, Stiles." Peter smiles, fisting his hand again to prevent himself to reach out for the boy. "Did you call your father? He should be here."

"Yeah, they notified him. I just wanted to talk to someone who - someone who understands better." Stiles admits softly.

[burnedwolf]

"Stiles." Peter starts and this time he can't keep his hand away. He gently puts it on Stiles' upper arm as he speaks. "Your father understands too, you two were talking about it already. Even if it was just a little." he speaks.

Stiles shakes his head. "No. I don't want to talk to him about - yeah."

[burnedwolf]

"You know I still think you should." Peter says, but he's not going to force Stiles. It's not working that way. And they were not in therapy right now. "I'll stay until he gets here, alright? Do you need anything?"

[totallynotrobin]

"Yeah I know." Stiles was shutting himself off to the idea right now, though. "Thank you. No, I'm fine."

[burnedwolf]

"Do you feel better?" Peter asks quietly, leaning a bit against the bed.

[totallynotrobin]

"Well, the ice is helping," Stiles offers, raising the compress.

[burnedwolf]

Peter is not looking away from Stiles' face.

"I didn't mean just that, Stiles." he speaks softly.

[totallynotrobin]

"I don't know." Stiles sighs and slumps a little, looking defeated. "For all I know, that guy was really nice."

[burnedwolf]

"Don't blame yourself. Maybe you should apologize and explain you're sick." Peter starts. "Maybe you two can work it out even." which shouldn't make him cringe.

Stiles shakes his head. "I'm a nutcase. It's just sad."
