Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

The doctor nods understanding.

"It's a good thing you came here." he starts. "I will try my best to help you, but maybe your family and friends could also support you if you let them."

Stiles doesn't seem convinced on that account, but he nods slowly anyway. "...what are you going to do?"

"Well..." Peter sighs and looks over his notes. "I think it's important for you to first open up to the people close to you. Also I'll try to help you handle your fear of crowds and touch the beginning. Just simple things. Because with more help you can heal better."

"Okay," It sounds like a good place to start to Stiles. Managable.

"Alright." Peter nods and slowly puts down his notes on the table. "First we should get you used to other people's physical closeness. So I'm going to ask you to come and sit on the chair next to mine." he says, patting the armrest of mentioned chair.

Stiles nods and stands, looking uncertain for a moment before he moves over to sit down next to Peter.

Peter smiles reassuring at Stiles and nods at him again as he's looking at him.

"Feeling alright?" he asks.

"…yeah. Yeah I'm fine."

[burnedwolf]

Peter nods again.

"You're doing good." he tells Stiles quietly. "I'd like us to have our sessions sitting this close. Alright?"

"…Alright." Stiles is a little nervous, but it's nothing he can't handle.

[burnedwolf]

"It's not a big deal, right?" Peter starts softly. "Did you touch anyone since then?"

[totallynotrobin]

"…no, it isn't." Stiles admits slowly. "Not…not really."

[burnedwolf]

Peter nods and offers his hand.

"You want to?" he asks quietly.

[totallynotrobin]

Stiles bites his lip, clearly pretty nervous. But…he does slowly extend his hand for Peter.

Peter doesn't move, but lets Stiles to reach for him in his own pace, smiling at him encouraging.

"There you go." he smiles wriggling his fingers a bit.

Stiles smiles nervously and takes Peter's hand. Well that's…something.

Peter nods, brushing Stiles' hand a little with his thumb.

"What do you think?" he asks quietly, tilting his head to look into the boy's face.

[totallynotrobin]

"It's…it's okay." Stiles allows quietly, letting Peter hold his hand.

[burnedwolf]

"Alright?" Peter asks, brushing his thumb over Stiles' skin. He shouldn't do that, it's not in the procedure, but he still did.

Stiles nods and squeezes his hand back. He doesn't mind. It's almost a little comforting.

[burnedwolf]

"Good." Peter nods. "From now on I'd prefer if all our session were going on sitting this close. And I'll initiate touches and I will ask you the same too. Don't worry, we'll ease you into it." he explains, squeezing Stiles' hand back a little. "Also I will give you homework too." he smirks.

"Okay." Stiles says meekly. He does blink at the last statement, though. "Homework?" He doesn't do the homework he already has as it is.

[burnedwolf]

"Homework. I want to touch someone else too. A small touch is enough, but you have to do it." Peter explains. "It could be your father, or Scott. Whoever you're comfortable with."

[totallynotrobin]

"...okay." Stiles says slowly. It doesn't sound like much when he's sitting here holding Peter's hand. It'll be much harder when he wasn't.

[burnedwolf]

"Of course you can choose not to do it." Peter speaks softly. "But I would prefer if you'd do it, for your own recovery. Alright? Maybe I'll think of a reward if you can complete the tasks I give you even." he muses still with a half smile.
