Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

Stiles has the breath knocked out of him by that simple touch, and he caught Peter's fingers. "...that. I want that."

Peter can't say he's not surprised at the sudden movement. He's blinking a little confused at Stiles, before he looks at their hands.

"That? By 'that' you mean... you'd like me to... to touch you?" he asks frowning.

"Y-yeah." Stiles says uncertainly, threading their fingers slowly. It feels good. Comfortable. He can touch Peter. "Is that - is that okay?"

Peter takes a deep breath as he's eying their threaded fingers. It shouldn't be like that, he shouldn't continue this madness, it's not ethical at all. But he smiles at Stiles and squeezes his hand a little. It feels warm and damn it, he might have a thing for this guy.

"If you want it, then it's alright." he nods, brushing Stiles' hand with his thumb. "It's been months since you let anyone near, isn't it?"

"Yeah. Months." Stiles squeezes his hand comfortably. "It feels good. I feel like...sometimes I just want a hug."

Peter smiles with a nod, holding Stiles hand securely.

"Your father would definitely give you one." he starts, even if he'd offer himself too. He'd gladly hold the boy in his arms for hours at this point.

"I don't want one from him, not really." Stiles sighs. "I want to matter to somebody other than my lone remaining parental unit."

Peter looks down with a smile. If Stiles knew he already matters to a lot of people, including him...

"Of course you do." he sighs. "We're working hard so you can go and find that someone without any trouble." he smiles. "But until then Scott wouldn't do?"

"Scott's my bro. You don't ask bro's to snuggle with you." Stiles snorts softly, squeezing Peter a little tighter. "And he's like, my only friend."

"Bro or not, a hug is just a hug. Maybe you should ask him about it still. It doesn't have to be a romantic hug, Stiles." Peter insist quietly.

"I don't know. Still kinda weird." Stiles points out. "I'll think about it."

[burnedwolf]

"Please do. It will make you feel better, believe me." Peter nods. "And if it helps I'm not having many hugs either." he adds lightly.

"...are you asking for one?" Stiles smiles shyly at Peter. He wouldn't mind indulging the therapist...

The doctor chuckles, looking up. He should refuse. Not because he's not hugging his patients, but with Stiles it's different.

"You won't hug your father ot friends, but you'd hug me?"

"Maybe." Stiles says softly, tilting his head at Peter. "Unless...you don't want to."

Peter looks back at Stiles. He can actually explain why he gives in. He needs to give Stiles a better self esteem and denying a hug won't help about that. So he nods.

"Would you like to try then?" he smiles opening his free arm.

A smile breaks out on his lips and Stiles nods, leaning closer to embrace his therapist. He...liked Peter, probably more than he should, but the man cared.

"There there." Peter smiles gently hugging the boy back, being careful to not to make him feel caged or uncomfortable. Stiles smells nice, he thinks as he's stroking his back a little.

"...this is nice." Stiles says softly, closing his eyes as he leans into Peter's embrace. He definitely could do this again.

Peter sighs a little, letting Stiles move closer. Stiles' reaction was of course expected, but it's still nice.

"It's the same hug as any of your friends would give." he assures the boy even if it's not exactly true from his part.

"Only have one friend." Stiles points out, closing his eyes and just...relaxing for the first time in ages.

[burnedwolf]

"You can make more in time." Peter assures him with a small smile. He can feel the boy relax in his arm and he smiles a bit more. His hand involuntarily slips on Stiles' nape. "Please try to hug others too, Stiles. It's doing you good as you can see."

"You're a good hugger. You're a therapist, you're supposed to be." Stiles mumbles, nuzzling against Peter's shoulder. That hand feels nice. Comforting, safe...

"That doesn't mean I'm the only one you can hug." Peter chuckles. "And it's actually not in my job description to give good hugs." he adds as Stiles nuzzles against him. This is dangerous, it makes Peter want more.

"Totally in your job description," Stiles hums and curls his legs up against Peter. "Thank you, for this. For everything you've done for me."
