Sex Therapist AU
Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -
But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.
It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.
So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

Peter nods at him, watching Stiles a little before he motions toward the door.
"See you next week." he smiles. "And call me if there is anything, alright?"
no subject
"I will," Stiles offers a soft smile back at the man. "See you, Peter."

(( ooc: So we skip to the crepes or they should randomly meet somewhere?~ ))
no subject
((ooc: either one works for me! he could meet the father?))
no subject
(( ooc: maybe the sheriff could visit Peter when Stiles is not there to ask how's it going? ))
no subject
((ooc: and he doesn't want to reveal too much because of patient confidentiality.))
no subject
no subject
((ooc: yes, but like about how Stiles is progressing))

((ooc: Perhaps he just visits? I can start if you prefer darling~ ))

The Sheriff wasn't entirely sure why he was here. Maybe it's because Stiles has been smiling a little bit more now, or maybe it's just worry for his son, but he finds himself paying Stiles' therapist a visit. He doesn't know what he expects the man to tell him, but he needs to know that some type of progress is being made. Stiles just...doesn't want to open up to him.

"Mr. Stilinski, right? We met briefly before." Peter starts, offering his hand. "What can I do for you?"
no subject
"Doctor Hale," The Sheriff nods, shaking Peter's hand firmly. "I just wanted to drop by and discuss my son and his treatment."
no subject
no subject
"No I - I'm not here for that," The Sheriff assures, although a part of him wishes someone could tell him what Stiles won't.
no subject
"Oh, then what would you like to know?" Peter smiles reassuringly, motioning toward the chairs.
no subject
"Just..." The Sheriff sits, shifting a little uncomfortably. He's talking to his son's therapist. Where did he go wrong? "How is he doing?"
no subject
Peter just smiles, trying to act like he usually does with the parents. Reassuring and supporrtive. They need it. He can see how uncomfortable the sheriff is and yes, he can understand.
"I can assure you sheriff that Stiles is showing signs of healing. It's only a matter of time he's opening up again."
no subject
"So he is healing? I mean, I see improvement - don't get me wrong, I see it and I don't expect it to happen overnight or anything - but he's just…" And the Sheriff is helpless.
no subject
"He's still not like before." Peter sighs with a nod. "I'm sorry, Mr. Stilinski, but he might never be." he starts quietly.
no subject
"…I just want him to smile again. That's all. I just want him to be able to smile." The man sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.
no subject
"We can definitely do that." Peter assures quietly. "For that I need your whole support too. Stiles has a huge step ahead of him now and he's struggling, but if he can do it he might open up more and you can help him too."
no subject
"You've got it. I'm behind him every step of the way," The Sheriff's eyes open again, and he nods.
no subject
Peter nods, squinting his eyes a little.
"Maybe..." he starts. "Maybe he's a little overwhelmed too. Everyone supports him, everyone wants to help. It's good and it's good he knows, but he could get overwhelmed and stressed that all these people expecting him something and he's just trying to get by." he speaks softly, tilting his head. "It could be a reason he's shutting everyone out."
