Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

"Is - is there anything else we're doing today?"

"Well," Peter starts, looking over his notes. "Just one more thing." he looks up and reaches for a bottle on the table. He opens it and pours some water in a glass. He's not saying anything just offers it to Stiles. "Thirsty?"

Stiles hesitates, but slowly accepts the glass from Peter. He just saw him pour it. It...it's okay.

"Can you drink a little?" Peter asks quietly with a reassuring smile.

[totallynotrobin]

"I can try," Stiles permits, hand shaking a little as he observes the glass.

[burnedwolf]

"I'm here, don't worry. If anything happens I'll be here." Peter speaks softly, noticing Stiles' distress.

Stiles swallows and nods, visibly steeling himself before bringing the glass to his lips.

Peter smiles, watching Stiles.

"Good. Just a small sip is enough." he speaks.

Stiles barely takes a drop actually into his mouth, but it touches his lips and he manages not to flinch.

Peter nods, eying the boy.

"Are you holding on?" he smiles.

[totallynotrobin]

Stiles nods, cheeks tinged red from the stress, but he's sort of pleased.

[burnedwolf]

"You did really well today, Stiles." Peter praises with a nod. "You should be proud of yourself."

[totallynotrobin]

"Are you proud of me?" Stiles asks before he can stop himself.

[burnedwolf]

"I am." Peter agrees quietly. "Today was showing just how much process you made. With Derek, and with the drink just now. Stiles, you're slowly, but steadily getting better."

Stiles blushes and smiles softly. "You're very kind."

[burnedwolf]

"I'm just telling the truth." Peter remarks. "And this is all for today." he sighs. "Your homework still stands. Try and hug someone."

"I'm sorry." Stiles apologizes profusely, embarrassment at failing plain on his face.

[burnedwolf]

Peter chuckles and shakes his head.

"Don't apologize. Just do it, either next week, or after that. But just do it." he speaks softly.

[totallynotrobin]

"I'll try," Stiles says seriously, nodding quickly.

[burnedwolf]

"I know you will." Peter smiles and slowly stands from his chair. "I trust you to do it."

Stiles stands, tugging on his sleeves. "I - I will. I will."

[burnedwolf]

Peter nods at him, watching Stiles a little before he motions toward the door.

"See you next week." he smiles. "And call me if there is anything, alright?"

"I will," Stiles offers a soft smile back at the man. "See you, Peter."
