Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -

But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.

It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.

So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

"Were you afraid that someone will hurt you, or that you will hurt someone?" the doctor advances, tilting his head to the side a little.

"Both, sort of." Stiles sighs, rubbing a hand over his face. "It's hard just to be around people."

Peter sighs, nodding in understanding. They have to start it all over again, seems like it.

"Of course it is." he smiles a little. "But does anything bad happen in school despite the crowd?" he asks.

"Nothing more than the usual teasing." But it hits harder now.

[burnedwolf]

"Ah, I see." Peter sighs, looking down. Stiles also suffers from low self esteem and those teasings might not help about it. "You will need to handle it with time, you know."

[totallynotrobin]

"I know," Stiles shrugs again. "But I didn't have to yesterday." So it's easier.

[burnedwolf]

"Of course." Peter nods, reading his notes. Nothing new there. He sighs and looks up at Stiles. "I'd like to ask about what happened at the shop. Can you tell me again?"

[totallynotrobin]

"Yeah…he just came up and started hitting on me. And I flipped a shit." Stiles looks very guilty.

[burnedwolf]

"Why exactly?" Peter asks. "What were you feeling or thinking that made you act like you did?"

[totallynotrobin]

"I was just…having a flashback, almost."

[burnedwolf]

"He did something similar to your attacker?" Peter frowns a little.

[totallynotrobin]

"Not really. He was just...too close, and he was smiling at me and being so nice...and yeah, I guess that's what he did."

[burnedwolf]

Peter tilts head a little, eying Stiles.

"You told me your attacker didn't want to engage with you originally. I assumed he wasn't... Well, that he wasn't actually nice with you. Not like this other person." Yes, Peter doesn't ask straight out what happened. But he's pressing for details.

"He kept me talking until the drugs kicked in. I told you he - he decided to take what he got."

[burnedwolf]

Peter nods, understanding Stiles' reaction a bit better now.

"When did he tell you that?" he asks.

[totallynotrobin]

"When he took me out back," Stiles says quietly.

[burnedwolf]

"And you thought the person in the store would do the same." Peter summed, still wondering if he should ask more about the incident. Maybe it would be a good time, but he was still just testing the waters.

[totallynotrobin]

"No. I knew he wouldn't. It was different. But it just…felt eerily similar.

[burnedwolf]

"So familiar that you attacked him." Peter nods.

[totallynotrobin]

"Yeah. It was just a gut reaction."

[burnedwolf]

Peter smiles a little.

"At least you didn't run." he remarks. "What do you think, Stiles, will you be able to talk about the attack?"

[totallynotrobin]

"You…you want me to talk about it?"

[burnedwolf]

"I think maybe this would be a right time to tap into it." Peter nods. "You made progress, Stiles. But this incident showed that we might have to pay attention to the attach itself. I believe this is a good time for it. What do you think?"

[totallynotrobin]

"…what do you want to know?" Stiles says slowly. He looks a little nervous, but not like he's about to bolt.

[burnedwolf]

"Stiles, this isn't an interrogation." Peter starts gently. "We are here to heal whatever the incident ruined in you. We are here for you and I want you to remember that." he speaks. "Will you?"
