Sex Therapist AU
Stiles is sure this was a terrible idea. Absolutely terrible. He's shaking as he sits, waiting, in the man's office. After everything that happened...he can't do this. He should leave. No - he isn leaving. He's going to walk out that door and -
But Stiles is frozen by fear. His nails are digging into his palm, jaw clenched. Move. Get up. Get out before he shows up. I'm sorry, Dr. Hale, I couldn't make it. Yeah. Sounds plausible.
It was a Wrong Place, Wrong Time type of thing. Actually, it was the Wrong Drink. Worst part was, it wasn't even meant for him. But when the guy figured out he'd roofie'd the wrong kid, well - might as well get something out of it, right? And for some sick reason, that made him feel worse, that he wasn't the intended target. That he was some kind of second class, even for a sick fuck like that. From there, it was all downhill.
So he's stuck in that chair, dreading the moment his new therapist opened the door.

"Of course, yes. Thank you for coming." He doesn't say anything to dissuade Peter, especially when Stiles droops a little.

"I'll do that," The Sheriff nods, and Stiles' eyes widen a little. Peter won't say anything about their sessions, right? He promised.

Stiles relaxes and his father nods his understanding. "I'll certainly take you up on that. Thank you, truly, for everything."
no subject
"It's my job, Mr. Stilinski. You too continue to support your son through this. He needs it." Peter smiles. "I'll take my leave then." he started, looking at Stiles for a second.
no subject
"Thank you," Stiles echoes his father quietly, offering Peter a small smile.
no subject
"Take care, both of you." he smiles and leaves.

Stiles doesn't see Peter again until their next session, but his father definitely calls to ask about the progression of his son's treatment.

The Sheriff is grateful for it. Stiles just…won't talk to him, won't touch him, won't go out with Scott anymore. It's been very worrying.

The Sheriff will think about it. Scott can never keep his mouth shut, poor kid, and he doesn't want to make this harder on Stiles. But maybe it's what he needs.

"Hi, Peter," Stiles greets him quietly, peeking in the doorway of his office.
no subject
"Welcome, Stiles. Just in time." he starts, closing the boy's file and placing it on the table before he sits down too. "How was your week?"
no subject
"It was alright." Stiles moves into the room to sit down. "I…didn't go to school."
no subject
"You didn't? Why?"
no subject
"I didn't want to," Stiles shrugs and rubs his arm. His cheek and eye are bruised, healing over.
no subject
no subject
"Yeah," Stiles admits, glancing up at Peter. "I just didn't want to."
no subject
no subject
"Both, sort of." Stiles sighs, rubbing a hand over his face. "It's hard just to be around people."
no subject
"Of course it is." he smiles a little. "But does anything bad happen in school despite the crowd?" he asks.
no subject
"Nothing more than the usual teasing." But it hits harder now.
